MacBooks just got slimmer, lighter, more roobost. I like the look and how Apple has got into detail on making these notebooks. With the glass trackpad and the LEDs, which means it is energy efficient and has a slicker look.
Apart from it's looks, they are more robust now, with a great graphics card to play your favourite games.
And apparently it has become more environmentally friendly. Using smaller packages for their MacBooks and removing unwanted toxics from the MacBooks, Apple is leading their products into a "safe" product for the Earth.

What an amazing event. I think no one is able to reach his record for a very long time. To pass 9.70 seconds is almost impossible but Usain crossed that mark comfortably without any tail wind.

I can't but feel disgusted at what Li Jiawei did, whether it was intentional or not. Anyone who holds the country's flag has to hold it up right and not let it touch the floor. It is a sign of disrespect to let it touch the ground.
Even if carrying the flag is heavy, (which I doubt it is since everyone else was carrying their own flags with pride and she was waving her hand while holding it), she should at least try to keep it off the ground. You do not necessarily need to wave the flag, just KEEP IT OFF THE GROUND. And seeing her dragging it, I mean literally dragging it across the ground, I feel like screaming at her. OMG! I didn't see her realising it or even try to keep it off the ground during the entrance walk.
Yes, I saw her waving her hand, even if you want to wave, watch the FLAG! Make sure it is not touching the ground! I would prefer her waving the flag than doing that.
I don't know if she was so happy to be in China or seeing so many of her Chinese people there, but she forgets one important thing of all. Her RESPONSIBILITY as the flag-bearer.
I mean like in a battlefield. You can watch in the movies, how important the flag is. It is also a symbol of strength, even when they are shot or missing a limb, the soldier still holds it up as high as he can before the next soldier comes in to hold it up after him.
If she can't hold it up right, let someone else do it. I am not sure if she volunteered or someone picked her as the flag-bearer. But anyone, who is responsible for raising or carrying the flag has to be briefed at the rules and how the flag should be carried/raised.

43 years on, and Singapore still lives on as a independent state. We can't forget those who have sacrificed a lot to make our country what it is today.
2 days ago, I received news from my sis that my great-grandma has passed away. Hjh Marfu'ah Binte Hj. Arshad, at the age of 92, passed away in her home. She was the headmaster of 'Sekolah Melayu Kampong Glam' in Arab Street. She was buried yesterday morning at Pusara Abadi.
This is one race I hope Singapore won't come out tops. I am not surprised really, especially with everything rising, including our food, energy, etc. It's expensive to live on this small little dot. So much has changed in the past years that you wonder where this is heading.
In Asia, Singapore is ranked 5th. In South & South-East Asia, we are ranked 1st, beating Mumbai, India for the top spot.

Wow, what a day I had, I haven't been blogging much because I been so tired lately preparing for the day. Had a lot of practice at night (literally bowled till after midnight) with me family and also took time helping out with the committee on organizing the event.
I did a simple logo for me family. And no, we don't have 46 people in our family. 46 was the name of the road of our old meeting which was our late Great-grandpa's home. I have a pretty big family so usually we meet up at Lorong 46, Jalan Kechot. Not just during Hari Raya but on every other occasions we would meet up. The house still stands but now with a owner. The reason why it is such a memorable place for us was because, a lot of us grew up together with the home. The area used to be so 'kampung', so when I was a kid, we all had a lot of play area. We would run around, play hide and seek, explore the 'kampung', Singapore was still growing then, there were still pockets of 'kampungs' here and there. I guess I was quite lucky to see a a bit of it before Singapore became a concrete jungle.
Anywayz, the event was really a blast. Basically no one left empty handed, there were prizes for the top scorers, best team score, second and third placings. But there were other categories of winning, like Perfect 100, Score 46 only, Most balls in the 'longkang', First Strike of the game, Most funniest bowler, Most supporting team, etc and many funny categories. Most didn't know about it until the prizing giving ceremony at the end.
The kids had their own categories too, yes, they played too! We took up 20 lanes out of 24, so imagine how many people were actually playing. It was really fun. During the game itself, we all tried to out do each other, and give support at the same time. There were a lot of screaming, shouting, sighing, and with the loud music, it seems like everyone was on adrenaline. Haha!
Such rare talent, singing while punching at the same time. I think one of the fans was doing something that she was unhappy about. The rage kinda built up when the fan was persistent abt it, thus ensues the punches.
It went something like:
"I ain’t got 70 days (*elbow)

Well for one thing it IS SOMETHING, and you were definitely TEACHING someone...... a lesson that is.

I was taking the train back home when I saw a building being demolished next to the construction of new HDB flats. Yes, the old Changi Theater andBedok Cinema is demolished. I am not too sure if they are going to make a new theater, but seeing the old buildings really brings back memories.
I remember when I was a kid, I watched 'The Land Before Time' movie in that theater. It was a beautiful cartoon about a little dinosaur's journey with his friends who were separated from their family and had to make a dangerous journey to the Great Valley. Not forgetting also, I watched 'Independence Day' with my band mates, there were like over ten of us. A whole group of guys in red uniform and green pants literally occupying a whole row of seats! The buildings also were facing the MRT track so we can actually see what movies are being screened from the large posters/billboards.
Once I was screened by a group of police over there (No, I didn't do anything wrong, it was just random screening). Aaahh.. the memories. Haha! Now I wonder if they are going to make a new cinema/theater over it. Any of you have any idea what's the future plans for that area?

When I first tried it out, I was wondering if the Ipod touch itself is even better than Iphone. When I showed an aunt of mine about how this Ipod works the same as the Iphone, she kinda felt that she should have waited for the Iphone instead of getting the current one she has (I am not goona say the brand name of her phone, but it's not from Apple.)
Anyways, I am sure you have watched and read loads of reviews about Apple's Ipod touch and Iphone. Frankly, to me, the touch screen technology is really cool. My fingers are not that thin but when I tried typing on it later on, it was pretty easy. Most of the time, the right letter pops up when I tap on the touch screen keyboard. But even if I see that I am goona type the wrong letter, (without lifting my finger off the screen) I just have to move my finger to the right letter and let go, and the right letter is typed into the screen.
Leave it to Apple to make things simpler for you. Now they have incorporated that technology to their new Macbooks. I am just wondering if they will do a tablet version of a MacBook with just using touch screen.
I have tried the Iphone previously(thanks to TheYoungBusinessMan), and in comparison in weight with the Ipod Touch, the Ipod touch is much lighter and slimmer. But of course the Iphone has more features, like for example the built in camera. Apart from playing video, music, saving contacts etc, they actually have YouTube in it. So you can connect online and watch YouTube videos. For me that is great since I love watching videos from YouTube.
Here is their latest ad, I like the ending "Everybody Touch", it's like they are saying everyone should have one. :)
I have finally manage to upload all the videos into YouTube. YouTube seems to be having problems with multi-upload. It gets 'stuck' in between loading. Kinda irritating. I hope YouTube's uploading functions improve.

Here's some videos of our day at Pulau Ubin. Most of the videos were taken while I was cycling and on the boat, so its a bit bumpy and the sounds a bit windy.
You can see, Ubin is still full of greenery. It is a nice place for a getaway. The air is fresh and the people there are friendly. Although I do not recommend you to ride around at night because I do not see many lamp posts around. So ride at your own risk.
The waters are clear and we can see people fishing in some areas. There is still much to explore around Ubin, we only covered mostly the West and Northern part of the island. Maybe next time we will drop by the west side of it. Till then enjoy the video. :)
I woke up with a good sleep today. Yesterday's cycling adventure was really fun and tiring! So many road and hills to climb. I forgot how hilly Ubin was. The last time I went there was so long ago. And it was more rustic and old then. Now it looks a little more modern with new architecture around.
The weather was cloudy and a little sunny in the afternoon before it started to drizzle and rain when we got back. Overall it was a fun! Now I looked a little tan with all that sun blazing on my body. I got a little abrasion on one of my toes though. Haha!

It was my cousin's 1st birthday, she is the little girl wearing the pink dress. Her cousin was there also celebrating together with her on the left. They were also singing the birthday song to her dad also who's birth date falls on the same month as hers.
Yes, I did went to the IT show just like all the thousands of people who thronged over to Suntec City to check out the best bargains. Apart from buying some products over there, I did went around and took some pictures and a couple of videos. There were a number of new products over there but I guess, nothing grabs my attention like Apple does. I went over to their booth and manage to get my hands on the MacBook Air.
I'd have to say it really is thin. I guess you all know that. It is, of course, light weight. Feels almost like carrying a thin folder. Frankly, I felt like spinning the thing on my fingers but they had those cables tied it and anyway, I don't think those guys at the booth would like to see me do that.
This is just a short video of it. Nothing special. With the internet already have loads of videos and reviews of it, I am not bothering with a review on it. All I have to say is, it is about time someone made a laptop like that. Carrying around a 2+kg laptop in my bag while moving around, is a big sore on the shoulders. My guess on this product is that it might have a CD/DVD drive in the future. If people are still buying, more features and peripherals will be added on the MacBook Air.
